Happy Birthday Baby Tommy...

Thomas Lane Gregory was born Saturday afternoon weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces.  It's so exciting being  admitted to the hospital and hearing the nurse say,"you are going to have a baby today!"
(Presents from a surprise shower my sweet friends threw me a few weeks ago.)
Tommy's delivery takes the cake for being the easiest labor!  After James, I thought I would have to adopt  future children.  Tommy's birth made me want to be a Duggar mommy;)
James and Rissy meeting their baby brother for the first time.  We are now a party of five.

Exxon always sends amazing flowers.
Tommy meeting his Nana.
Singing happy birthday to Tommy after we came home from the hospital.

During my pregnancy James selflessly has been saying he wanted another baby sister for Rissy.  But I think he is more than happy with a baby brother.  He says he has lots of super hero skills to teach him.
We've been spending lots of time in our backyard.  I don't think we will be going far for awhile, so I am lucky they all love it back there.

Rissy is having a bit of a hard time adjusting to not being the baby.  But I think after a little time, she will be a great big sis.

My mom has been doing daily art with the kids to keep them entertained.  I am so thankful she has been here to help out.  Easter would have been pretty shabby this week without her.

It's his party, he'll cry if he wants to;)
My mom said my pictures make it look all sunshine and lollipops instead of sleepless nights and diaper rash.  Ha ha.  I must admit,  I am feeling a little bit over my head.   But we will take it one day at a time and enjoy this sliver of newborn time, because before I know it, I will be blogging his mission farewell:)
Thanks so much for all the nice texts, phone calls, and facebook messages family and friends.  We have felt so loved this week.
Love, The Gregory family
