Lush Crush...

We discovered this place on a Saturday drive in the ritzy River Oaks neighborhood.  It is called the Rienzi.  It was a residential estate donated to be a museum.  We were guessing the art filled house wasn't the most kid friendly place so we opted to spend the afternoon in the free gardens... sipping ice-cold lemonade in the shade.  It felt like I had died and gone to heaven!  I really think this is the prettiest place I've ever been!

I am so thankful for the philanthropists who donated this place for my family and others to enjoy.
XOXO, Jess

Living Out of Our Suitcases...

I am having a hard time unpacking our suitcases and posting pictures after such a great trip.  I am sad it is over.  I wish I took more photos of all the festivities at the end, but we were too busy visiting to worry about the blog.  Here are a few stragglers I want to keep...
Andy treated me to a pedicure.  Every time I look at my pink toes I think of him and smile.
I had the best time with my sisters.  I can't believe Kate is about to graduate!

We painted the night away during a snowstorm.

Spending the afternoon with my dear friend Abbie and her three cute kiddos.
Game night at the cabin.

More swim time in Nana's pool.

We remembered Heather's little girls, Lily Kate and Claire Ann, at the cemetery on their birthday and then went to dinner and a movie.
Thanks so much for the wonderful visits and generosity family and friends.  I am happy in Texas, but it is always hard to leave loved ones and the beautiful mountains.  Hopefully it wont be long before we are packing our parkas to come again.  Love you all, Jess

Spring Has Sprung in Spring, Texas

Our walks around the block smell like Bath and Body Works thanks to the beautiful Azalea bushes by our house.  I feel like we should be singing and dancing in the streets over this annual flowering phenomenon.  But alas, my voice would wilt the roses.  I guess we all have our special way to welcome in Spring (and it doesn't have to be done by the cast of Glee:).  I snap pictures to savor the season, I just wish my shutter speed could capture the fragrant smells as well.
