We had a little V-day party with some friends from church.
There have been several new people move in.  We had cinnamon rolls and then loaded up the kids in the strollers and went on a spontaneous walk to my favorite spot.
Be mine nap time:)
James went on a scavenger hunt to find his Valentine from his Daddy.  Disney's Peter Pan.

When I caught my reflection in the window during James's hunt I saw a spitting image of Deb from Napoleon Dynamite starring back at me.  Scary:)
I am going on seven years of John showering me with chocolate, roses, and beautiful cards on Valentine's day.  Instead of scratching (the seven year itch) I am still feeling lucky in love with my best friend.
Dear Nan, Aunt Claudia, Nana, Uncle Jake, Grandmother Gregory, Lydia and Terry, and Cousin Katherine  Thank You for the beautiful Valentines!!!  They all made us feel so special.  We love you!

Clearing Off John's Camera Card...

Usually John's business trips seem to be all work and no play...planes, trains  and pipe mills but on his last trip to the UK he was able to take a Saturday to see the city...

This is some of what John sees on his trips.  He just told me what this is but for the sake of keeping this simple... it is equipment for a pipeline they are laying in the Black Sea.
I showed these pictures to James and he said that this is a transformer.  Now he thinks his Daddy is not only Batman, but he builds giant robots too.  Our superhero!

(Out)side Notes...

  • We found a way through our secret spot to get to the grocery store.   This quiet little park makes me love where we live so much.
  • Seeing my sisters  and sister-in-law Catie calling on my cell phone always makes me smile!
  • I get very little done as a nursing mom, because after I feed Rissy and she falls asleep in my arms it feels incredible and it is soooo hard to get off the couch and do dishes, go to bed, etc.
  • James adores his sister.  He always wants to kiss her and know where she is.
  • When Rissy cries I eat lots and lots of cookies.
  • James says “I need wove (love)” whenever he needs my attention.
  • Remember this car from back in the day?  Well it is still making the rounds.  James genuinely believes with all his heart that it is the bat mobile.  Therefore his daddy is Batman.  And you better believe we play it up every chance we get:)
  • I joke and say If I would have known we would be driving this car so long I would have opted for a minivan for my 16th birthday.  I can’t complain, John lets me drive the Camry and it is nice  not to have to worry about a car payment.
  • Why is James buffing the car in the in the buff you might ask?   We are still trying to toilet train him and several of my friends recommended this method.  So far is seems to be working…sort of… at least better than anything else we have tried.
  • Before I took this picture James pointed his backside to the camera and said "cheese my bum mom."  He is quite the ham for the camera.
  • Last week I thought I had being a mom of two all figured out…Now it seems to be kicking my trash.  Funny how that is:)
  • Evening walks with my family are one of my favorite things in the world.
  • Hope everyone is doing well.  Love, Jess

Wishing A Happy Birthday...

To my sister Heather Feather
and brother Andy Dandy (nicknames from back in the day;)  We hope you have beautiful birthdays!  You've both been on my mind since I woke up this morning and I wish I was there to help celebrate.  I am so lucky to be sandwiched between the two of you in the birth order.  You both have taught me so much. Lots of love!  XOXO, Jess
