A trip to see G & G Witzke....

\
This week, James, and I ventured down to Southern Utah to visit his great grandparents in their new Casa.
We went on a little shopping spree for a few decorating odds and ends. James probably thinks his second home is the Home Depot. He has spent more time there than in his nursery:) We took a little Applebee's break to get refueled before we braved the feisty crafters at Robert's.

We decided to do a little DIY project for a blank wall in her sewing room. This was the inspiration for our artwork.

We applied scrapbook paper (.60 cents) to craft board ($4 each) with a little Mod Podge.
Cost: about $20.00!

Voila, the finished product.
(P.S. Thanks for teaching me to Mod Podge Aunt Cheryl..you have fulfilled a dream of mine;)

James decked out in a teddy bear ensemble my grandparents gave him.
It was so good to see you Grandma and Grandpa Witzke, we love your new pad! Love you lots!
XOXO,
Jessica and James.

I want to learn how to modge podge. Maybe that would fill some space around here. Love the new header. You are so creative.

Thanks for being such a great documenter of a fun trip. You'll soon see that I completely copied your blog to record it for my life! You have such a gift for taking existing stuff and inexpensive accessories and making things more beautiful. It was fun to watch you in action. I love how the finished areas turned out, and I know you brightened your grandma's life this week.

And you made a very fun traveling companion. Thanks for a great time!

As for Heather, let's get together and craft! I'm pretty inspired by the inexpensive scrapbook paper ideas.

One more comment for both Heather and Jessica. We really need to have that blog training luncheon 'cause the new header on this blog is adorable!

I LOVE the art work!!! You'll have to help me pick out some paper to do that myself. I tried calling you a couple of weeks ago, I would love to get together. Call me when you get a chance.

I've tried modge podging, but mine never turn out quite that good so maybe you'll have to teach me the tricks you learned! We missed you by a couple of days, but I saw all the wonderful decorating you did down there! Good job! I really need to get my own place so I can have you share your awesome skills with me!
