My old roomie, Aubrie and I, rekindled our friendship flame this past week with a play date in the pool, pb&j’s and an excruciatingly PAINFUL exercise class. You think I would have been forewarned by the class’s name, Survival of the Fittest. But I was like, “hey, I've been riding my bike, and hauling my baby around all summer, I’m buff”...Nope, nada, zilch...I am so not...and NEED to learn my boundaries better, b/c my body is seriously burning from the billion squats we did. Aubrie's abs are apparently fittastic because she was barely even fazed.
On a happy note...After the class, we jumped in on a Zumba class. It was so fun and fabulous and I felt like I had just been on a retreat to Rio De Janeiro. Side note to Santa: It would be sublime to see Zumba DVD’s stuffed into my stocking this year.
Gavin has the greatest smile!
James is pretty serious and somber when we encroach upon his nap time.
Getting our Harvesting On....
In the past my Halloween Décor has stayed up until the Christmas season because of being busy with work, a baby, and budget. But since we had company coming I decided to do a little Turkey Day decorating with a trip to the Dollar store. The pattern for the silhouettes are found here. I am loving holiday swag that hardly costs a cent. Especially, since I am usually sick of it after a season.
Dollar store fake leaves rock my socks! The possibilities are endless. I decided to resurrect my Halloween branch with a hot glue gun.
John’s parents, niece, and nephew arrived yesterday after a three day drive from Oklahoma. James is on cloud nine with some little people to play with and it is great for him to see his Grandparents. I am looking forward to taking life at a little bit of a slower pace. Pixar movies, walks to the park, and Grandma Gregory’s homemade pizza...The perfect prescription after such a painful day at the gym:)
Always happy for hue!

This picture is probably boring to everyone but me, but this is my bloggidy blog...and the place where I post my life loves as a pick me up when it "pours"...
So, here is the view from the porch swing as I sat eating banana bread with John today.
I am head over heals for the mountains, temple top, and the changing trees. And the taste of fresh baked bread made it even better.
I can tell James had no problem when I went to Paris and Grandma Gregory came to help watch him because I think he's hardly noticed I'm alive since they arrived:)
Cheers to cousin bath time, camping out in the living room, and catching up with the Gregory crew...Yup.. you can count on this post being continued with more photo-ing in just a short few...

I love the view from your porch! Have fun with the family!
You've inspired me to decorate and maybe make a batch of banana bread.
I am glad you captured the trees on your street-they take my breath away, every time I drive up there, I feel a football player in training and thanks for also capturing the green chair/hibiscus combo--so I can look at them and remember when I am eighty.
