We christened Rissy a southern bell by taking her to Bayou Bend
park over the weekend. This estate was donated to Houston thanks to
oil heiress Ima Hogg (horrible name, inspiring lady!) Since we hardly saw a soul during our whole
stroll it was easy to imagine the place was ours. And a bench in the shade of a sycamore tree made
a perfect spot to rest with Rissy.
Here are a few reasons we are happier than a bird with a french
fry this week…Watching James smother Rissy with a hundred kisses a day. Have John home from work for a few days. Eating the yummy dinners ward members have been
bringing. Seeing the cute baby girl clothes
family and friends have sent hanging in my closet. Enjoying the cooler fall temps. Listening to the living prophet talk during
conference.

I've always known about Ima Hogg. Story goes she has a sister, Ura Hogg! Love the picture of John and James "chillin". Rissy does look like James but is beautiful like her mommy!
Rissy is a doll! I'm glad that James is giving her lots of kisses for the both of us! You really do look gorgeous. I bet you make a lot of new mamas jealous.
I am just glad you weren't inspired to name your baby after this inspiring woman, Ima Hogg or Ura Hogg for that matter! What was her mother thinking?? Can't believe you are out and about and looking so beautiful! Glad you feel so good!
What beautiful belles and beaus!
Oh my southern belles--I have a new love for ferns, palms and pines since coming to Houston. Looks like you are back to true form, Saturday walks, photos and skinny clothes!
