Labor day weekend was all about going with the flow and rolling with the punches. We are learning that sometimes with a little tyke, all plans must be pliable!
We planned on camping three nights with the Sullivan’s at the Spruces. We were all getting along with the fresh mountain air famously until it was tent time. Then James was ready to call our little camping trip quits. His crying (which sounds more like a Raptor roar) lasted until let's see... a little after four. Then this mama couldn’t take anymore! So we packed up for a short hiatus back home.
On Saturday we decided to see if the flow would float us on down to the fifty yard line at the BYU football game. But the season opener was totally sold out -unless we wanted to pay seven times what seats were actually worth... So we settled for a little pregame atmosphere and watched the game in the Wilk with some other stadium-less students. Lately, I've become quite the fan of being around this school , since it's sorta where our little Gregory clan all began.
Labor day is always bittersweet... especially since this has been one spectacular summer! But, I’d be lying if I said seeing football and a few sightings of fall leaves didn’t make me excited for sweater season and apple spice scents. So I’ll keep going with the flow and let it take me into fall… but I wouldn't mind if it comes in at a glacial pace!

Thanks for attempting the trips with us. James sleeps much better on cousin sleepovers than he does on camping trips.
How come Dave didn't play the flamingo game while we were there? Oh yea, he was too busy playing the cougar game. Thanks for all your hard work and making memories for Jake and Katelyn
Thanks for your work too Jessica--I was looking at Heather's picture and thinking I was typing on her blog--it is getting late!
Oh, babies can be so selfish! Just kidding. Cassius has done the exact same thing so many times! So true, you just have to roll with the punches (or tantrums) :)
