Bugged!

I can handle Houston's heat...my hair has adapted to the humidity (thanks to headbands)...and the horrible traffic can be avoided by taking toll roads. But cockroaches the size of a kumquat?!...I’m not so sure I will ever stop shuttering at the sight of these creepy crawling things!

i have definitely had my fair share of cockroach experiences here in spain and i haven't loved it one bit! there is just something about those above all other creepy house crawling things that gets to me. probably the fact that the only way to kill them is to crunch them under your foot. makes me shudder every time! get some cockroach traps & put them around your house. that is what the mom of my family does here & what i did in hawaii.. they seem to work!

I definitely feel your pain here in New Mexico! We find those giant bugs randomly around the house and I scream every time. Good luck!

Cathy had some amazing spider pictures from her trip to Tonga that have haunted my dreams for days and now this!! Believe me your Bug-a-phobia is inherited. Call the spray people--today!!

Just like lindsey said, they do have them in spain too. The other night one ran into the house and the mom of the family jumped on the couch and started to scream. But dont worry I came to the rescue with a broom in hand and was chasing it around the house. Unfortunantly I lost it...I think it probably ran back outside. haha.

I hope you get the problem fixed fast because I wouldnt want a bug that big in my house either :)

That is rad! But I'm sure I wouldn't feel that way if it were crawling around our house. Just think, you'll never have to get James a pet,

that is so offensive! how did you kill it without squashing it? I love how you even kill bugs in a photographer friendly way :)

In Brazil I got so sick to death of the feel of those miserable bugs squishing under my shoe that I stopped trying to kill them. I just let them go.

But it is funny how they can be both revolting and fascinating at the same time.

It always cracks me up how some blogs stir up all the emotional comments and some with beautiful, peaceful pictures just slide into bloggerdom! Like car wrecks and burning motorcycles, I guess these are the ones that sell!

Don't ever go to Mexico. They are even bigger. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen them (and lived with them) myself. They aren't as big here in the west side of the state, but I'm ready to hire a bug man. Only seen them in the garage.. but still.
Spiders I can handle. Even scorpions, but NOT cockroaches!!!
