  Besides people, these are probably my most treasured possessions.  Yup, if we have to leave the house because of a hurricane, I am grabbing my babies in one arm and my blog books in the other.  I recently had three years of my blog printed out at blog2print.  It was so painless and was done practically with one push of a button.  I didn’t have to re-format anything and it printed just as it appears on my blog.  For about eighty bucks I had one year (about two hundred pages) of posts printed.

Occasionally people ask how I print and organize all the pictures I take.  It used to cause me great stress, but now I feel like I finally have a handle on my habit.   I print Shutterfly books for fun family vacations and do one for James's birthday that consists of pictures throughout the year.  I don’t write much, just names under a few of the pictures.  I do auto fill with about twenty of my favorite pics to keep it as simple and fast as possible.  Shutterfly gives you a free book every year and groupon often has half off sales.  

  Then for the blog, I try to keep up on posting my favorite pictures once a week.  It is important for me to keep up, because once I get behind I get overwhelmed and want to quit.  So I don’t really back track, I just start where I am at.

  I am so passionate about posting because I feel like it has literally changed my perspective on life.  Blogging about our blessings has made me a more positive person, and I appreciate my family and nature so much more.   Of course life isn’t always as picturesque as you see in our pictures.  But I much prefer to "crop the crap" so when I look back I can remember the better parts.  It is my personal form of Prozac.  And if that wasn’t enough, there are lots of other perks…  Like keeping the far away fam up-to-date, having a family journal, pictures for posterity, and receiving comments from loved ones.  Lately, James is loving scrolling through the site, and it brings such a smile to my face.

So here is my plea.   If you have a blog, get back to posting! If you need a pick me up, blog about your blessings.  It could be as simple as writing down two or three of your favorite things that day, or posting a picture you took with your phone.  You could write family stories from your past for your grandkids (hint hint) or include some favorite recipes.  Then after you’ve posted for a while, print it!   I promise, the pay will be ten fold of the time you spend on facebook, pinterest, yahoo, or about any other site on the internet.

   This post makes me sound like I have life so figured out.  Ha Ha. I am so far from that.  You should see the mess on my pc desktop.  Plus there is something about being eight months pregnant in August that makes me a far cry from being Pollyanna-ish.  So I will probably be posting a lot in the next few weeks to try to make time pass along with making me think happy thoughts through this heart burn;)  Thank you all who read.  It is seriously such a bonus to have fam and friends who care to click.
